Parent’s As Partners

HAB Kindergarten Ltd. Management and Staff acknowledge that parents are the prime carer’s of their children. With this in mind we aim to work closely at all times with parents/carer’s as partners in providing quality care and education for the benefit of every child.

We have an open door policy at the Kindergarten, and parents are welcome to visit at any time. (Consideration must be given to the busy times of the day when visiting with regards meal times etc.)

As we mainly provide care for the children of ‘Working Parents’ it is not the Kindergartens practice to invite parent as helpers in the Kindergarten. We do however value parental input and we aim to keep parents well informed of events and outings in advance, through emails, regular newsletters, notice boards and ‘today we’ boards. Parents have access at all time to their child’s Learning Journey’s through the online Tapestry system. Parents are able to see photographs and observations of their child, leave comments and even upload their own photographs and observations. Parents are also consulted in respect to the care given and planned activities provided for the children. Regular parent’s evenings are arranged throughout the year. We have an open door policy should any parent wish to chat with their child’s keyworker or management about any issues or concerns they may have.

An inspection by OFSTED is carried out every 3 years and full reports are accessible online via the Ofsted website. Any issues or actions raised by Ofsted are dealt with appropriately and efficiently and shared with all users of the kindergarten, through newsletters or newsflash.

The management will not accept liability for any private arrangements made by parents/carer’s with staff members. This is to include baby-sitting and transporting children to and from the Kindergarten.
The Kindergarten has numerous policies in place that enable and support staff and parents whilst offering excellent quality of care and education for all users.
